Mid-Cumberland Community Action Agency

Mid-Cumberland Community Action Agency works with low-income individuals and communities in Middle Tennessee to foster economic independence. Its Head Start and Early Head Start programs help families pursue greater self-sufficiency.
Families eligible for Head Start or Early Head Start may also qualify for other MCCAA services, including:
- Comprehensive Family Case Management: Helps households identify and overcome barriers to economic self-sufficiency.
- Elderly and Disabled Services: Supports independent living among low-income elderly people and people with disabilities.
- Low-Income Home Energy Assistance: Provides annual help with home energy bills.
- Weatherization Assistance: Improves home energy efficiency and helps reduce energy use.
- Tennessee Emergency Food Assistance: Distributes USDA commodity foods quarterly.
- Emergency Services: Assists households experiencing financial crises caused by unexpected events.
MCCAA outreach offices serve Cheatham, Robertson, Rutherford, Sumner, Trousdale, Williamson and Wilson counties.
